Music about China VIII

The 2014 Music About China concert brings together two of the world's plucked-string instruments: the guitar and the zhongruan.
Liu Xing of In Remembrance of Yunnan fame has written a highly challenging piece, Zhongruan Concerto No. 2, premiered here by Singaporean zhongruan artist Clara Tan Su-Min. Hong Kong composer Clarence Mak will show his consummate skill as a guitarist, performing his own new composition. Finally, famous bass Gong Dongjain will tell the legend of Genghis Khan as composed by Tang Jianping.
