Hong Kong Well-wishing Festival 2013

The Hong Kong Well-wishing Festival is one of the Hong Kong's most charming cultural events. Following the practices of their ancestors, at the beginning of each Chinese New Year, many of the city's residents write their wishes for the year ahead on joss paper and throw them onto a wishing tree and set water lanterns afloat on water.

Visitors can witness and even participate in these age-old rituals and taste traditional Hakka food during Chinese New Year at Lam Tsuen in the New Territories.
