When Gold Blossoms: Indian Jewelry from the Susan L. Beningson Collection

'When Gold Blossoms: Indian Jewelry from the Susan L. Beningson Collection' presents the dazzling beauty and awe-inspiring technical craftsmanship of Indian jewellery. On display will be around 160 pieces from the 17th through to the 19th century, primarily from South India. The exhibits are also drawn from a vast collection of jewellery worn in daily life and jewellery used as ornaments for Hindu temples and deities. Photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries will be displayed alongside the jewellery to illustrate the ways in which these pieces were were worn.
