On 1 April 2001, the Hong Kong Tourist Association (HKTA) was reconstituted and renamed under Government Ordinance as the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board is the official name of the organisation charged with marketing Hong Kong as a travel destination worldwide.
Should content on this website still refer to the Hong Kong Tourist Association, or to its former abbreviated title of HKTA, with effect from 1 April 2001, it should be taken to mean "Hong Kong Tourism Board".
Please note that office e-mail addresses will also change with effect from 1 April 2001, e.g. info@hkta.org to info@hktourismboard.com.
The website address, however, remains DiscoverHongKong.com.
