Lantau and Monastery Tour

Hong Kong International Airport is located adjacent to Hong Kong's largest island, Lantau, which is renowned for the Giant Buddha statue and the new Ngong Ping 360 cable car and culturally themed village set amid stunning scenery.

A tour bus takes you past the two-kilometre long white sands of Cheung Sha Beach and over the Shek Pik Reservoir dam. Visit the Tanka boat people's stilt-house fishing village at Tai O, then take a winding road up to a 520-metre plateau to visit the famous Po Lin Monastery and view the world's tallest seated outdoor bronze Buddha statue. The tour includes a vegetarian lunch prepared by the monks at the monastery. You can also take the 5.7km Ngong Ping Cable Car that provides spectacular panoramic views of the Giant Buddha, North Lantau Country Park, the South China Sea and Hong Kong International Airport.

The tour bus returns you to the airport hotel around 3:30-4pm, leaving you time for an evening flight connection out of Hong Kong.
