Lantau Island is the largest outlying island in Hong Kong. The island is known for its unspoilt countryside, virgin hills and lush green valleys.

The tour includes a visit to Ngong Ping 360, Hong Kong's spectacular tourism attraction that features a stunning 5.7-km cable car ride up a mountainside on Ngong Ping 360. The 25-minute journey offers breath-taking panoramic views encompassing the airport, South China Sea, lush mountains and valleys, and the awe-inspiring Giant Buddha statue.

The cable car takes you to the culturally themed Ngong Ping Village, which incorporates three major attractions: Walking with Buddha, Monkey's Tale Theatre and the Ngong Ping Tea House, along with a diverse array of eateries and shops.

You'll also visit the famous Po Lin Monastery nearby, and view the world's tallest seated outdoor bronze Buddha sitting atop 268 steps. A short walk away is the Wisdom Path, an ancient prayer inscribed on a series of wooden columns.

Another highlight of these tours is a visit to the historical fishing village at Tai O where Tanka boat people still live in their stilt houses today.

Some tours offer a vegetarian lunch prepared by the monks at the Po Lin Monastery or a stop at the beautiful white sand Cheung Sha beach.

Note: From time to time, the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car service is closed for regularly scheduled maintenance. Click here to check out servicing days. On such days, the tour will take alternative transportation to Ngong Ping 360.
