Beyond the hills of Kowloon, lies the New Territories. Much of the land there remains undeveloped. This rural side of Hong Kong shows how green the city is. It is dotted with ancient villages, vegetable farms, heritage sites amidst large scale housing blocks. The tour includes a visit to Chuk Lam Monastery, a Buddhist monastery restled at the foot of Tai Mo Shan, Hong Kong's tallest mountain. Then it goes to Kam Tin walled village, a historic village with fortified walls to protect its villagers from bandits in early days. The tour continues to the Hong Kong border with Mainland China for a vista of the New Territories farmlands and Shenzhen River that divides the boundary of Anglo-Chinese tied in colonial days. Then it is the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree, a legendary tree that grant wishes come true.

Testimonials
"All of the New Territories is very interesting and rich in cultural content, rural settings and heritage. Passing through temples, monasteries and villages leaves me with the impression that Hong Kong is much more than just a busy city of high-rise buildings."
