Description:
The 2009 Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism \ Architecture will be held from 4 December 2009 through February 2010, with concurrent exhibitions in both Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Supported by the Hong Kong Home Affairs Bureau and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, the Biennale is currently the only urbanism \ architecture-themed international biennale in China and the only Bi-City biennale globally. Since its inception in 2007 the Bi-City Biennale has established itself as a significant event in the architecture and design scene both in Asia-Pacific and globally.
Programme Highlights:
1. The Main Pavilion on the West Kowloon Waterfront site will feature an enormous paper tube construction designed by world renowned architecture firm, Shigeru Ban Architects.
2. Daniel Wu, Edward Huang and Teddy Lo will be involved in an interactive installation that will host a series of performances.
3. The site will also challenge concepts of eco-sustainability with the Gardening Society (BYOBotany), Eco Farm (BYOBirds), and Kadoorie Farm (BYOBeetroot), as well as bicycles and Segways (BYOBike).

Getting There:
Exit from the lobby of "In-town Check-in Service" at MTR Kowloon Station. Cross the Nga Cheung Road and walk towards the bus stop at Western Harbour Crossing Toll Plaza via footbridge for a 10 mins walk.
