10 Hollywood Road, Central

The police station was decommissioned and closed in December 2004 pending a decision on its future use. The barrack block was built in 1864, the other blocks being added between 1910 and 1925. This four-storey group of buildings is in the classical style, with the whole of the front and the main architectural features of the back constructed of cement plaster, while the extension facing Hollywood Road is noted for its brick construction and imposing columns in the entrance hall. (Not open to the public.)
