Nan Lian Garden Guided Tour

Join an English-speaking guide and tour this delightful 35,000 sq m Tang dynasty (618AD to 906AD) -style garden located in Diamond Hill. It features characteristic timber structures, two water ponds (Lotus Pond and Blue Pond), various odd-shaped rocks and lots of old and valuable trees, all of which have been artfully arranged to imitate nature.

It is here visitors will find an atmosphere conducive to serenity and tranquility; an ambience in which they can enjoy moments of leisure and peace of mind, whilst reflecting on the profound richness of classical Chinese culture - all right in the heart of the bustling city! By following the garden's one-way circular route, visitors will discover the splendour of this lovely garden unfold along each step of the way.

Apart from the lovely Lotus Pond and Blue Pond, the park also includes a Chinese Timber Gallery, a multi-purpose conference hall, vegetarian restaurant (Long Men Lou) where visitors can enjoy the vegetarian cuisine from Chi Lin Nunnery and Chinese teahouse (The Pine Teahouse) where they can learn all about Chinese tea-drinking culture.
