The Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum is one of the most unusual museums in Hong Kong.
The site, a former four-chambered Han tomb dating back to AD 25 - 220, was discovered in 1955, during the construction of a resettlement area. An exhibition hall adjacent to the tomb contains pottery and bronze wares excavated from the tomb. There are two exhibitions, "Lei Cheng UK Han Tomb" and "Han Culture in South China". Texts, graphics, photos, maps and video models are used to explain the historical significance of the tomb and the historical period from which the tomb dates. It was declared a gazetted monument in 1988.
