Fangchenggang is a coastal city in southern China. The coastline within the city stretches over 584kilometres.

The city is named after the port that has developed along it. There are over 10 ports of various sizes scattered throughout the city, of which Fangchenggang is the largest port in both the Guangxi province as well as the western part of China. It is a major port for the country and renowned for its depth, sheltering from winds, plus it’s silt-free, has short channels and a long stretch of available coastline. Fangchenggang also has rich resources for tourism including the ‘border, mountains and the sea’. Together with a strong cultural identity from the unique Jing, Yao and Zhuang ethnic groups, Fangchenggang has distinct and ideal conditions for future tourism development.
