Guangdong Province is situated at the southernmost tip of Mainland China adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau. It has a number of unique characteristics which set it apart from the rest of China including: dialects and customs, history and culture. It boasts three sub-ethnic groups which are distinctly different from those found further north around Beijing. In recent years, Guangdong has developed into the country’s most prosperous province. Thanks to its Lingnan (southern China) culture, Guangdong possesses unique historical, natural and cultural characteristics, making it an ideal tourist destination.

Guangdong enjoys warm and green spring-like seasons, filled with blooming flowers and verdant plants all year around. It has delightful natural scenery featuring mountains and rivers, setting off Lingnan’s unique and mysterious charms. There are four famous mountains in Guangdong: Mt Danxia, Mt Xiqiao, Mt Luofu and Mt Dinghu, delicately dotted with the Seven Star Crags and Yingxi Peak Forest, etc, all of which help the area emanate an aura of romantic charm. The Pearl River Delta Area is crisscrossed with rivers and lakes, its coastline extends thousands of miles and Wanlu Lake, which is rich in natural resources, add a magical touch to the beautiful scenery of Guangdong.

Guangdong is also a paradise for vacation tourism with hot springs scattered around the province where tourists can relax and take part in a variety of recreational activities. There are plenty of golf courses as well as romantic and exotic beaches.

The province’s new tourist attractions offer endless excitement for visitors. The Overseas Chinese Town (OCT) located in Shenzhen draws city people back to nature; the Guangzhou Chime-Long Paradise, the largest amusement park in China, offers tourists an unforgettable experience. In addition, there are various eco-tourism attractions such as the Mt Danxia, World Geopark, the Kaiping Watchtowers and Village, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which never fail to fascinate visitors.

During the year, the temperature is at the most moderate between October and December, making these months the best time for tourism and visits.

Guangzhou has over 100 tourist scenic spots, showcasing the wondrous touristic resources in the region with the beauteous scenery of lustrous greens and running waters. Of these tourist attractions, Yuexiu Hill, Mausoleum of the 72 Martyrs at Huanghuagang and Chime-long Tourist Resort are the most famous of all.

 

Shenzhen has a subtropical oceanic climate with an annual average temperature of 22.4oC. Throughout the year, the city is filled with lustrous green lawns and flourishing fresh flowers. The coastline of Shenzhen stretches 230 kilometers with shores that are mostly suitable for ports. 6 deep water ports have been built around the port, granting access to the vast sea area.

Shenzhen has a modern and dynamic transport network, as well as being the regional center for passenger and cargo transportation. The Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport is one of the four largest airports in China.

Shenzhen is built against mountains while facing the sea, and has unique resources and facilities for tourism and entertainments. It is the home of "Window of the World" and "Splendid China", the world's largest miniature scenery, as well as many other major tourist or entertainment attractions including "Chinese Folk Culture Village" and "Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Holiday Resort".  All scenic and tourist areas are attracting an increasing number of visitors both from China and abroad.

 

Zhuhai is a garden-like seaside tourist city filled with blooming flowers and greenery throughout the year.  Zhuhai borders mainland Macau and is just across the sea from Hong Kong. The world-class Zhuhai International Airport has grant Zhuhai convenient access to the rest of the world.

Zhuhai is within the low-latitude subtropical monsoon region with plentiful sunlight and abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature is 22.4oC. The Ocean Spring Resort of Zhuhai focuses around the rare ocean spring and is a center for fine dining and entertainment.

 

Shantou is located in southeast of Guangdong, China, adjacent to the South China Sea. It is known as "the gateway of east Nanling Mountains and the communication hub of Southeast China" because of its advantageous geographical location.

Shantou is a beautiful place with pleasant climate, green hills and clear waters, blue sea and sky, numerous scenic spots such as the Nan Ao Island Tourist Area that comprises of 37 islands and fine natural environment.

 
Zhanjiang is situated in the southernmost part of the People's Republic of China, and is a beautiful port city under subtropical climes. Zhanjiang is surrounded by the sea on three sides with a coastline of 1,556 kilometers.

Zhanjiang has a subtropical oceanic monsoon climate with an annual average temperature of 22.8°C. The long stretch of 1,556 coastline and 104 islands have created numerous havens for seaside tourist holiday resorts and memorable experience for many. There is also the Huguangyan World Geological Park with stunning views of the lake and mountains, highlighting the scenic surroundings and purest lake water.
