The city of Quanzhou is located in the southeast part of the Fujian province and is one of the province's three largest cities. It covers an area of 11,015 square kilometres in land and a sea area of 7,864 square kilometres, with a coastline measuring 421 kilometres in length. There are a number of deep-water ports in the Quanzhou area and the city features one of the few natural harbours in China. This city enjoys a sub-tropical monsoon climate with average annual temperatures around 20°C and a mild with Spring-like climate throughout the year.
