Start the Year with a Bang at the Fireworks Display
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people line both sides of iconic Victoria Harbour on the Second Day of Chinese New Year to witness Hong Kong ushering in the Chinese New Year with an astounding pyrotechnic display. Join them and get your Chinese New Year off to a great start in 2013.
- The Lunar New Year Fireworks Display will be launched from a number of barges in Victoria Harbour. Best views are available in Wan Chai near the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre and the Golden Bauhinia Square. In Tsim Sha Tsui, head for the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the Avenue of the Stars. Roads will be closed off to vehicles for the event.
- Reservations can also be made at restaurants and hotels on either side of Victoria Harbour which provide great views of the fireworks. For panoramic views, join a boat or ferry tour in the harbour.
Light Up Your Life with A Symphony of Lights
This nightly multimedia spectacular will leave you in awe. At 8pm sharp every night, more than 40 buildings on both sides of Victoria Harbour erupt in a sensational light and music show. The sky will be transformed into a bright shining canvas. Watch for it!

- Along Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront between the Avenue of Stars and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
Directions: MTR East Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit J, and follow the signs. - Along the promenade at the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai.

At Chinese New Year, eager punters converge on the Sha Tin Racecourse in what is a unique Hong Kong tradition. On the Third Day of Chinese New Year, local sports fans hope to kick off the new year with a winning wager.
