Hong Kong
comes alive as the famous Rugby Sevens fever grips the city
in 31 March - 2 April, 2006. Some of the world's top seven-a-side
teams compete for glory at Hong Kong Stadium during this annual
tournament. It's the equivalent of "rugby heaven" for the worldwide
rugby fraternity who descent upon Hong Kong for this sporting
carnival.
Hong
Kong hosted the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2005 from 18-20
March which was won by Fiji. It is the first city to host
the world championship two times. The first World Cup Sevens
in Hong Kong was held in 1997 which was won by Fiji as
well!
